Do the Omakase. It is unbelievable. The chef or waiter will give you the dish and tell you a little background about each piece of sushi. The chef has prepared each dish with the perfect amount of wasabi and soy sauce so you really don’t need to add anymore. I am huge fan of the netflix Documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi.” If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend checking it out if you are a fan of Sushi or food in general. The way that Jiro prepares sushi is almost an art form. That is the same feeling that I got going to Sushi Kashiba. It is not surprising to me that Jiro and Shiro are good friends.
Mmmm! Hearty spicy Ethiopian made with love :) S Light lunch turned into a feast. I only ordered 3 items for the two of us. Lamb tibs: spicy sautéed lamb and lamb ribs with bellpeppers onions and jalapeños that came with a lentil sauce, cabbage/ carrot turmeric sauce, of course about a pound of injera and this delightful herbed micro ricotta (ayub) and berbere 13.95$,
" I haven't had pizza in like 5 minutes!!"talking with my colleague after our office lunch meeting at Sauce and Barrel in FIDI. I called my better half and she told me she was hungry and bored so I told her to come on down, I would wait for her! We just finished our first course of homemade pasta as an appetizer and had to order a couple of pizza pies especially after we saw one of the owners (Luigi Romano) personally roll up his sleeves and start making pies!!!
Over Labor Day weekend, I had the privilege to attend a ceremony here at the Outdoor Art Club. The venue features a delightful patio that was perfect for cocktail hour, a great dining hall for the reception, and a little area tucked in the back for the magical moments of when they say, "I do." The trees loomed over the newlywed couple and it was beautiful.
It was the best decision we could have made. We had a complex set of requirements, complex financing, and many questions as we narrowed in, offered on, and financed our dream home. The Bali Cottage is even more beautiful than it appears in the pictures. A true work of art with dappled light coming through the antique tike panels. At first I though it was a bit dark, but I quickly came to appreciate it very much. I generally endorse the other glowing reviews. The only thing I would disagree with is I didn't think the bugs were bad at all. It's the tropics! Yes, there were bugs around, but none bothered us. I don't think I got a bite all week, and some were quite pretty. We wholeheartedly recommend the place, especially for honeymooners.
We had a great stay in the Mission Garden. It was a wonderful hideaway for my fiance and I to spend some much needed time together. Not only did we enjoy the apartment (the art, the garden, the peace and quiet) but the neighborhood was great too! Our restaurant recommendations to people new to the city would be: El Metate--around the corner; Dosa--Valencia and 19th Street (Indian food);
Great location!! Friendly staff! Room with a view of coit tower! Walking distance to fishermans wharf, north beach, china town! Uber to china town $7. Parking onsite is $59 but when I mentioned I was a Hyatt member they gave it to me for $25. Worth it to not have to worry about finding parking, 2 hour parking, moving the car, and or getting parking tickets!
Reservations were hard to come by but I can guarantee this is some of the most authentic and well crafted sushi place. Let the chef whiz you away on a magical culinary journey. The setting is intimate, with only a handful of sushi bar seats. The sushi is the star of the show, and you have front row seats. I'll let my photos do more justice.
I have my insurance agency and after severely damaging my rear bumper, Geico sent me here and I am so glad they did. I was treated with kindness and respect from the moment I entered their waiting room. There's no other way to put it. He walked me through the repairs, kept me updated and helped me to maintain my humor, in what was otherwise a stressful situation for me.
Breakfast was delicious and the choices on the sideboard as well as on the table were plentiful. I made a lox and cheese bagel with capers and red onions, but there were several choices for grains such as toast, granola, etc. They also had different cheeses as well as preserves. Coffee, tea, and juice, were also available. It was nice to sit at the long dining table and chat with other guests about their stay.
This boutique hotel offers such friendly service, a great morning continental breakfast, free newspaper, wine happy hours, and evening cookies. it feels like you're staying in a quaint b&b without the hassle of actually having to eat with other people for breakfast.
It would have been nice to have more eat options in a hotel of this size and level of elite but its okay, because you are so close to everything. All in all, it's a great hotel and it may not be my favorite, for a city hotel, the rooms are pretty quiet and pretty sizable. There isn't much one should complain about when at the JW Marriott in San Fran anyway!
They have a great spot to chill and watch tv in the front and a spot to relax and watch music videos in the back. They offered us beer and water, and I was taken in for my haircut right away. My barber was very attentive and listened to what I wanted - and spent a lot of time with me.
They tend to be a bit more on the relaxing side. The masseuses DO know their stuff, but it's not quite the intense, athletic-benefiting massage I've found other places. I've had probably 10 different masseuses here over the past 5-6 years, and I've never had a bad massage, and a few fantastic ones. They do book up quickly during peak hours (weekends, nights), so make sure to make appointments well ahead of time.
Came in today for a haircut. There were a few people waiting already but several stylists working. I was told there were 2 call ahead haircuts but both were late so only 1 person would be ahead of me aside from a couple appointments. Well, I heard the call ahead check in 15 minutes later, and still got to go ahead.
G20 has a lot of potential - they do have basic snacks like apples and granola as well as K-cups and decaf espresso with Coffee Mate, but it would be great if there were nice options (i.e. real tea, sliced fruit, chocolate/yogurt covered pretzels, water with cucumber/citrus). Amenities were fine but in most spas it would be expected to offer mouth wash, as well as exfoliating salt and cucumber slices.
I was thrilled with the esthetician I was going to - when she moved away, I went to someone else, and was pretty disappointed - I had to awkwardly come out to the lobby and tell her to go over it again. I also complained to the owner, who sent me a coupon and urge me to try them again.
I ordered a pitcher of Sapporo beer and the large order of the chicken karaage (which is their specialty) to share. For dinner, I ordered the poke salad - you can pick from tuna, salmon, or tofu. The menu offers a bunch of Japanese and Japanese-Hawaiian fare, like loco moco
Food was all delicious and very reasonably priced given how huge the portions were. We had the chicken schnitzel, beet and arugula salad, and fish special, which included a nice piece of cod with seasonal touches like squash purée and broccolinThe bread came out warm and delicious with a generous side of butter! Great little place.
While the majority of their items were gone, they did have a good assortment of macarons (individual, gift boxes) and a few cakes so I opted for their Pomme Pomme, a wonderfully lime green apple shaped sweet. As with any Payard item, it was mild and very fresh. I had to get up then purchase the Yuzu Tart.
I got really pissed at you that one time the girl in front of me ordered the last creme brulee doughnut. I tried filling my doughnut void with Dough and Krispy Kreme (we were on a break!). There was a year or two when I didn't even see you. But, I saw you today and I remembered why I fell in love with you in the first place. You are great.
I recently saw the last show of Amelia, an opera which made its world debut with these past few showings. The singing is spectacular, the scenery diverse and interesting with each new act, and everything comes together quite nicely to give you a good overall production. While I'm not screaming and jumping up and down for joy for the Seattle Opera
The movie theatre has two movie halls and a nice lobby to enjoy a drink or a snack before the movie. You pay only $6 per movie by becoming a member, which is a great deal. Every month is a different movie selection. They often bring speakers and movie directors, which makes this place an absolute gem for a movie fan.
The point is it's really neat to be able to play so many machines from so many eras in one place for as long as your carpel tunnel can take. There must be 60 or more pinball machines here, for the love of all that is holy! The smaller, second floor also has video games like Pacman and Galaga. Perfect destination on a rainy day, when your kid wants
This museum is in an old house and there was no air condition, so it was hot and stuffy. Plus many of the other exhibits were in the hallways of the house which made walking past other people a tight fit. If you like miniatures, dolls, and other toys, then this place is definitely worth a look.
I liked mine. The dessert was a surprise as well, I usually get chocolate but this time I decided to get the ricotta lemon cake with the strawberry coulis which I thought was so delish. I was surprised that I liked it so much! The service fantastic and the charm of the decor is funky and fabulous. Such a cozy and romantic spot on Melrose.
Maccheroni republic does pasta right. Not too salty, and not too mushy, like other pasta places do. The burrata is bomb. The calamari is also a not to be missed appetizer. The pastas that you must get are the bigoli della nonna, the agnolotti is bomb, the lasagna is also delicious. All the pastas are good!!!
I just got my old computer fixed (old like Pentium 4, windows XP) and it is so clean and works like it is brand spanking new! is awesome and so reasonably priced. he really does a thorough job and goes above and beyond. he is really as good as it gets when it comes to service and knowledge. call this guy if you need computer help! seriously!
I will definitely be calling him again after the holidays to also take them down. He was quick and definitely knew what he was doing. He also assembled my snowman, reindeer, and santa! I decided to have the professionals do my lighting. Fantastic light at Christmas holiday.
I was more thrilled when I called them to find out that they could print everything in a day. I once had a very bad experience printing stickers (an experience of which we shall never speak of again) that took a few days and came out looking like crap. These guys printed some much more complicated stuff in 1 day and it looks great.
Dress for our choice for wedding is not easy task but when we reached at place where we feel comfortable according to our design is blessings. For this purpose I met to Aleksandra. She is a great listener and will always respect your choice. I am not happy for her design, She really made my day special also. I recommend Aleksandra two of my friends also. Thanks a lot.
Last time I visit to Foxglove at the time when I saw my neighbor to race. This is Great Place for clothing, accessories, bags and Jewelry. Selection was beautiful and careful. Just like other reviewer i found reasonable price. At that time I notice how we should be well organized. This is definitely good place for you and your friends.
I usually buy all my purses from this store. I had purchased a small black cross body bag last month. My fav little purse ever. but last night I was there with some friends and somehow the strap broke! Luckily I was able to fix it enough to last the night. We happened to be in the area and I look and I see this location! I ran in real quick just to see if there was anything they could do, it was a long shot.
Great place to visit. This store has the uniform every type and each brands. They also have a selection of white coats (short and long sleeves), scrub jackets, accessories (lanyards, name badge clips). The store was well organized so it was easy for me to find my size once.
Amazing place! I really like this place. I had several school project to print out, and David helped me do it on time! He explained everything very kindly, he go over details that I didn't catch myself. Even I am not very familiar with the layouts, he helped me to make my project better.
The amount of seating here is quite minimal, so we were lucky to snag a table for 4. My girlfriend and I shared the vegetarian combo and beef tibs. I love when they serve the dish on top of a big piece of injera along with rolled up pieces of injera on the side. I've only tried Ethiopian food a handful of times, but I've loved it every time and this place.
There is no sandy beach here, its all cliffs and rocky shorelines with just a tiny sliver of a river rock beach at the south end. A bunch of people were hanging out at the Monument, and I believe they hiked down from the cliffs. We docked between the Captain Cook Monument and the high cliffs of the bay. The waters were super clear and calm; so clear that I could see the reef just below my feet.
Overall the facilities are well maintained, modern, with plenty amenities. What makes them a solid 2.9 star property is the lack of communication on behalf of their front desk, management & accounting personnel. I was overcharged, misquoted, put on hold, recharged 3 more times without receiving any communication.
There was no place to pull up and drop off our luggage easily. Walking down the stairs in my heals to go out for some drinks on valentine's day night I felt like we were going to get scolded because each step we took down the stairs majorly creaked. I was kind of afraid to set my stuff down anywhere because it felt like such an old place.
And I used to come here when the bar was Olives. Now it's something else, but the hotel bar is a FANTASTIC place to grab drinks and catch-up with friends. Amazing cocktails, atmosphere and photo opps! The hotel rooms are fashionable and swanky too. You will impress people with it's location and accommodations if you decide to host a function in NYC and make this your residence of choice.
There is also free complimentary wi-fi for the room and there is a turn down service in the evening where they provide chocolate for when you come back tired from a whole day of walking. There is no coffee or tea making facilities in the room but they are outside at the sitting area with free fruits all day.
This place always smells really nice and it's so enjoyable to sit in the waiting room even for a few minutes when I'm just popping in for eyebrow waxing. I love their green tea infused with fruits! It is noticeably more expensive which is why I chose Bella Sante first.
This was my first time going, and I was in a panic because I had dyed my hair with a box color, and it was orange! Luckily, Mia knew exactly what to do. She mixed the right tones, and without even knowing, she returned me to my exact natural hair color. I was so impress and satisfied with the quality of service.
Really excellent cut, a little pricier than what I'm used to but definitely worth it. The building really didn't look to be in good shape but the services were excellent. I went in with hair that had been growing for 6 months and walked out with exactly what I was looking for, an undercut man-bun.
The curry rice and chicken karaage was good. The chicken was tender inside and crunchy enough outside to stand up to the curry. The spicy karaage was equally as tender but overly simplistic given that the only seasoning appeared to be 7-spice. The miso soup was pretty standard and brought out at the beginning of the meal.
The Happy Hour specials from 4pm to 7pm are really great here. The menu overall had plenty to choose from. Service was really on point last night as well! Keep in mind we had 13 people in our party, and Carl was an absolute Rockstar staying on top of everyone's needs.
I lucked up on this bakery while waiting on some friends to meet me in the area. I just hopped in to get a small pastry to hold me over until lunch. I had the Pain au Chocolat (which is a croissant with chocolate within). It was delicious. It was obvious it was fresh with the delicate flaky layers.
That's a great deal, especially if you have trouble keeping a ball in play for longer than 20 seconds (like me). Matter of fact, at that price, you get multiple exit/entry thoughout the day which is great if you want to go have lunch and return. I went with the cheaper admission option
I have a fairly straight tax prep but still don't feel confident doing everything on my own. During our meeting she was very helpful explaining what the process as well as her personal process double and triple-checking which I really appreciated. Any questions on deductions she gladly answered.
This gem in makes fresh pasta for their dishes at the same prices other Italian places use other products. I've come here twice once for their lunch special and once for dinner (last night). Lunch: 9.99 for their fresh pasta and choice of tomato or cream sauce. I got that option and ended up with a red linguine infused with something!
This place is very family friendly, the vendors are very accommodating and very spacious too. Though it gets a little crowded people because people likes to watch and listen to the band still there is plenty of room for everyone to do what they need to do. A great place for couples and family to just hang out and enjoy
I felt like I should have brought my non existent white gloves to lunch. La Table has great, attentive servers and a clean, chic interior. As a party of 6, we did not make reservations but got seated in 15min. Would recommend calling ahead of time as this place was bustling.
Sushi will never be the same for me after paying Sushi Kashiba a visit for their omakase. The SO made 7 pm reservation for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived 10 minutes earlier and had asked to sit at the sushi bar if possible. To our crazy luck, we were seated right in front of Shiro.
It has beautiful decors and by far the best clinic I ever been to. I love their choice of colors that are very smoothing in the eyes. Their service and staff are exceptional and very attentive when you walked in doctors are by far one of amazing doctors that I encounter who actually want to make their patients to live a healthier lives by finding the best possible solutions for their health concerns.
I wish i could give 10 stars as because of their work. It will be my pleasure to work with them again any time. They were so professional and knowledgeable. when you spend a good amount of money, you want to feel like you got your money's worth and we absolutely do. I recommend them 100%.
He has great customer service and you can't beat his prices with anywhere else. For my upcoming trip to Nicaragua, I used this place to exchange my USD once again. I was told to let him know in advance about when I would need Nicaraguan currency so it could be ordered.
My experience at Lake Merritt Dental has been nothing short of amazing. They provide excellent service--from the front desk to back office! Upon arrival, you can expect to be warmly greeted by the front office staff. After a short wait, you're escorted to the back office by the friendliest assistants.
He did a spectacular job that day, and since then, he's done tons of work on their old craftsman and converted carriage house, ranging from replacing a toilet to a complete kitchen renovation with custom counters and shelving and under-cabinet LED lighting. He was great. Repaired a pocket door, which not just anyone can do, on a 1950's building. Good as knew. Prepped and cleaned up well for a meticulous tenant.
